Title : Education Assistant

Summary of Duties:
The Education Assistant will follow the daily schedule of the class they are assisting. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Morning, Recess, Lunch supervision; math and reading programs; and other classroom duties. A strong knowledge of high school level math will be required for this position.
Key Deliverables and Expectations:
To provide student assistance in and out of class under the direction of the School Admin team.
Working with other professionals
Ensuring a reporting format is established and maintained
Keep a daily journal
Ability to follow instruction as outlined in student improvement plan
Perform other related duties as requested.
Experience and Attributes:
Must have Grade 12, ECE or other related certificates, diploma an asset
2+ years of experience working with kids
Experience working with special needs children/youth an asset
Some knowledge of child development
Some understanding of behaviour challenges would be an asset
B.C. Standard First Aid Certificate for working with young children (recommended but not mandatory).
Knowledge of Lilwat culture an asset
