Sedgman Limited Looking for Human Resource Manager at Vancouver, BC Full Time

To support our success, we are currently seeking an HR Manager to join our team in Vancouver. As we continue to focus on being client-driven, we have also been increasing focus on our people and creating a positive employee experience. To help us accomplish this, we have been evolving the Human Resources group to help build and deliver programs focused on enhancing our employee experiences and improving the products and services across North America.

What does this role involve?

Reporting to the VP North America and responsible for providing generalist services across all areas of HR to our North America region as a trusted business partner. Areas include but are not limited to generalist support, performance management, employee relations/industrial relations, recruitment, learning and organisational development and remuneration.

What are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will have experience in a similar role delivering generalist HR business partnering in a medium to large sized organisation, ideally within the resources, engineering or construction sector. We are seeking someone who has experience in interpreting and providing advice on policy, and legislative requirements as well as in attraction and retention and employee development initiatives.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or relevant business-related experience
• Minimum of 6 years generalist HR experience
• Working knowledge of IR legislation
• A strong customer service orientation and proven ability to develop partnerships and engage with key stakeholders over geographically dispersed teams
