SEGULA Technologies Looking for Design Release Engineer – Brake Interface & Pedals at Windsor, Ontario, Canada Full Time

As the DRE for Brake & Accelerator Pedals, you will be responsible for the design, validation, and release of brake and accelerator pedals and pedal assemblies. Your role will encompass all aspects of component design to ensure the achievement of system and vehicle-level functional objectives.

Keyresponsibilitieswillinclude, but are notlimitedto:

• Managingthe release of components,includingbill ofmaterial, CADdrawings, and designverificationplan.

• Conductingphysicaltestingand validation.

• CollaboratingwithVehicleEngineering,suppliers,Purchasing,Quality, andAssemblyPlants.

• Directingpackagingwithinthevehicleenvironment.

• Overseeingsupplier andinternalDesignVerificationPlan & Report (DVPR) and Design Failure Mode andEffectsAnalysis(DFMEA).

• Supportingactivitiessuchas AdvancedQualityPlanning (AQP), Product Start of Operations (PSO),productlaunch, andongoingmaintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelorof Science inMechanical, Automotive, orElectricalEngineeringfromanaccreditedinstitution or ABETequivalent.

• Aptitude formechanicalengineeringdemonstratedthroughworkexperienceoracademicprojects.

• Strong communicationskills,includingtheabilitytocollaboratewithsuppliersand cross-functionalteams.

• 1-5yearsofexperienceinbrakedesign,development, and validation.

• Strong expertise inGeometricDimensioningandTolerancing(GD&T).

• Proficiencyin engineering disciplines,suchas DesignVerificationPlan & Report (DVPR), Design Failure Mode andEffectsAnalysis(DFMEA), etc.

• Formaltraining orexperienceinproblem-solving,quality, andreliability.

• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt / Black Belt certification.

• Experienceinmanufacturingofbrakecomponents andvehicleassembly.
