Working with customers in a ServiceOntario office specializing in Ontario Government Health and Driver’s paperwork.
Ontario office in Corunna. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday.

WHAT IS THE JOB? ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. OPENING DUTIES
○ Unlock, stock reports, arrive to open approx. 10 minutes prior to opening.
2. DRIVER’S PAPERWORK
○ Driver’s license renewals and data changes, vehicle registrations, etc.
3. HEALTH PAPERWORK:
○ Health card renewal and data changes, replacement and cancellation, etc.
4. CLOSING DUTIES:
○ Office close, bank deposits, lock gates and doors, etc.
5. GENERAL DUTIES:
○ Maintain Service Ontario standards, office cleaning, visitor services assistance, updating paperwork and posters, training new staff, etc.
WHAT YOU HAVE – SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
● GENERAL SKILLS: Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, attention to detail.
● KNOWLEDGE: Licensing information and basic understanding of legal documents including: wills, POA, and death certificates would be an asset.
● ABILITIES: Keyboarding, general computer skills. additional computer and administrative training would be an asset.
● EXPERIENCE: Customer service experience is an asset. You are dealing with the public on a day to day basis. The majority of our customers are great, but there are always challenging personalities to deal with and patience and a positive attitude are requirements.
● TRAITS: Enthusiasm, coping skills, communication skills, problem solving, and general positivity are definitely assets. A sense of humour is always a bonus.
● ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Some bending, lifting and carrying is part of the job. The position also involves long hours of sitting and working on a computer screen, operating office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
● WORKING CONDITIONS: You will get to work with a large number of people within our community, including seasonal residents and visitors. This is a people-first environment.

● COMPETITIVE BASE SALARY: We have recently completed a wage increase in our office and are in the process of seeking Living Wage Certification. This position will start at $16.00/hour plus a $2.00 front line worker pandemic pay.

● CONSISTENT WORK HOURS: No evenings are required and even if ServiceOntario returns to being open on Saturdays it would be a half day at most.
