Position: IT Project Manager
Location: Toronto – hybrid (2 days on-site)
Job type: 12-month contract
Our client is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. It’s a hybrid role with 2 days a week on-site component. Their office is in downtown Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
8+ years of Project Management Experience:
– Proven track record in delivering technical projects is a must! Showcase your extensive experience in managing and successfully executing complex projects.
Cybersecurity or Go-Live Projects Expertise:
– Experience in delivering cybersecurity projects or go-live projects is a significant advantage. Highlight your achievements in these areas to stand out.
PMP Certification (Nice to Have):
– Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered a plus. While not mandatory, it adds value to your profile.
Assessment Skills:
– Ability to assess the company’s readiness across various dimensions, including Technical Readiness, Functional Readiness, Data Readiness, User Readiness, Operational Readiness, Risk Assessment, and Mitigation. Demonstrate your expertise in evaluating and ensuring comprehensive project readiness.
Industry Background:
A background in the utility or start-up space is highly desirable. Your industry-specific knowledge will contribute to the success of projects.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
– Proven experience of 8+ years in technical project management
Familiarity with cybersecurity or go-live projects
– PMP certification is a nice-to-have.
– Strong assessment skills across multiple readiness dimensions
– Background in the utility or start-up space
