Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd. is a national leader in land development and residential construction, and we are seeking a Utilities Coordinator to join our construction management team in Winnipeg, MB.
The Utilities Coordinator is responsible for the technical and administrative tasks associated with all utility services at each construction project. The role will communicate and resolve utility conflicts while assisting the Director to ensure all site distribution is approved and installed without delaying project schedules. The Utilities Coordinator will liaise continuously between our Development, Design, Project and Construction Management teams.
Your contributions to the team:
Coordinate the status of utility permits and approvals with internal and external stakeholders.
Read, understand and interpret, and correlate site utility distribution plans.
Effectively communicate with all utility agencies and Site Superintendents.
Assist in the organization of utility coordination meetings.
Maintaining accurate and up to date drawings and contracts that can be easily accessed and distributed.
Provide assistance identifying and pursuing future utility entry points for upcoming projects.
Maintain professional working relationships with utility companies in each province.
Coordinate services to establish and/or modify utility discrepancies.
Communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
Keep the Director informed about utility services status and issues by providing regular feedback and site updates.
What you need to be successful:
Post-secondary education in Construction Management / Project Management or equivalent
Working experience in the land development and/or utilities industry
Working experience with construction management software or ERP
Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a changing environment
Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Professional verbal and written communication skills
