SG Cunningham is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to begin full-time, permanent work with an exciting, community-minded company. The Project Coordinator will support SG Cunningham’s team of Project Managers with all aspects of project coordination. This includes (but is not limited to) closing tenders, scheduling, project start-up and close-out, as well as drafting of purchase orders, quotations, subcontracts, RFPs, budgets, invoices, and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a PM Assistant or Project Coordinator with a General Contractor
Formal education in a related field (college or university) is preferred
Excellent knowledge of Canadian construction building science, construction practices, techniques and standards including Ontario building codes
Ability to read and understand construction-related drawings/documents/specs
Strong knowledge of construction processes through all phases – start-up through construction and close-out
Can proactively identify issues and develop effective solutions
Experience using Procore
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
Able to manage work responsibilities to meet tight deadlines
Excellent computer skills; strong comfort level with technology
“G” Driver’s license, access to a vehicle and a clean driving record
Responsibilities:
Assist with closing tenders, project start-up and close-out
Drafting purchase orders, quotations, invoices, contracts, subcontracts, RFPs, etc.
Attend site meetings to record, type and distribute meeting minutes on behalf of the PM
Attend client meetings and assist with the determination of project requirements
Work with PM to understand and track the progress and quality of work being performed by trades and suppliers
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenses
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with subtrades, consultants, designers and clients
Effectively communicate relevant project information to the PM
Keep PM informed about the status of projects and issues that may impact client relations and schedule deviations
Maintain good communication with subtrades to assure timely completion of jobs
Assist Project Managers with managing all aspects of their projects in Procore
Assisting with creating project schedules using MS Project or Excel
Assist PM with sourcing materials
Assist PM with preparing the Scope of Work list for the Site Superintendent and crew
Provide project support to the Site Superintendent
Filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks as needed
