We are searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About The Opportunity
- Handles incoming and outgoing documents (invoices, supplier statements, cheque/EFT) so information is shared, organized and stored efficiently.
- Ensures documents are stored and organized in a secure way that allows seamless processing, completeness, and retrieval of documents for several users
- Ensures filing and tracking of cheque runs and EFT runs is maintained
- Checks incoming payable invoice to ensure there are appropriate approvals
- Receives incoming mail and sort/deliver; arrange for outgoing mail/ couriers
- Assists with transactional processing, data entry, reporting.
- Safeguards all private information and payments for services through electronic interfaces, operational credit cards or manual
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- Diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year in similar role
- Experience with Yardi software considered an asset
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
