SHIFT Electric Vehicles Looking for Outside Sales, Regional Manager at Oakville, Ontario, Canada Full Time

The most recent addition to the SHIFT EV portfolio is our partnership with Vicinity Motors in offering the VMC line of commercial trucks, starting with the VMC 1200, a Class 3, 12,000lb GVWR multi-configurable cab and chassis, to be followed up with a Class 5 truck in 2024.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Commerical truck outside sales representative to drive sales of our electric commercial trucks and related products. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and promoting sustainable transportation options. Key Responsibilities:

• Actively seek out and identify new sales opportunities within the electric commercial truck market.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential customers, ensuring they are well-informed about the benefits of our products.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for potential customers.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
• Work closely with our customers, guiding them through the purchasing process, from initial contact to delivery.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor products, and market developments.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the growth and success of the dealership.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Class 3-5 Commercial Trucks: Demonstrated success in selling and promoting Class 3-5 commercial trucks such as Hino and Isuzu. This includes a deep understanding of the specifications, capabilities, and advantages of these vehicles.
• Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the features, benefits, and applications of Class 3-5 commercial trucks, such as those offered by Hino and Isuzu. The ability to convey the competitive advantages of our electric truck over the diesel powered competition is essential to success.
• Government and Municipal Relationships: Previous experience working with municipal and provincial governments, and a well-established network of contacts in relevant government agencies. Knowledge of government incentives, regulations, and grant programs related to electric commercial vehicles is a significant asset.
• Trade Organizations: Strong connections with trade organizations related to industries that commonly use commercial trucks, such as landscaping and construction. Participation in trade events, conferences, and membership in these organizations is a plus.
• Experience with Tenders: Proficiency in navigating and responding to public tenders and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to electric commercial trucks. Demonstrated success in securing contracts through the tendering process is highly desirable.
• Customer Relationship Management: Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with commercial truck buyers and clients in industries where Class 3-5 trucks are commonly utilized.
• Competitive Market Awareness: A keen understanding of the competitive landscape within the Class 3-5 commercial truck market, including knowledge of competing brands, pricing strategies, and market trends.
• Problem-Solving in Commercial Truck Solutions: Experience in tailoring Class 3-5 truck solutions to meet the specific needs and requirements of clients in various industries, including but not limited to construction, landscaping, and municipal services.
• Technical Understanding: A good understanding or willingness to learn about the technical aspects of electric commercial vehicles, including charging infrastructure and associated technologies.
• Strong Presentation Skills: A track record of delivering persuasive and informative presentations during tenders and government / organization meetings.
• Analytical Skills: The capacity to analyze market trends, tender requirements, and customer needs to develop strategic proposals and tailored solutions.
• Project Management: Experience in project management, particularly in overseeing the execution of contracts won through tenders.

Salary: $100,000.00 – $300,000.00 per year at onset, potential to $500,000.00+ in subsequent years
