Role Summary

As a full-time accountant, you need to involve in all financial related operations for Canada and US, including daily communication with co-wokers to deal with their financial inquiries, payroll, tax filing, bank entries, payment/expense reimbursement approval, etc.

Key responsibilities include ensuring accuracy in financial bookkeeping, regulatory adherence, and efficient bank management. Ideal candidates will have a finance or accounting background, expertise in financial software, and excellent English & Mandarin communication skills, contributing significantly to our financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Affairs: Take charge of the daily accounting operations and the review of bookkeeping on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Finance Support: Offer financial process support and deal with financial related inquiries to the internal departments, facilitating efficient communication and operational efficiency.
• Bank Management: Oversee daily banking transactions, process urgent payment in the bank, make sure bank balance is sufficient and efficient.
• Tax Matters: Prepare and reconcile the company’s tax filings and payments, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements.
• External Communication: Keep communication and coordination with external entities, such as tax authorities, banks, auditors.
• Salary and Related Benefits Tax Processing: Review the payroll entered by HR, ensuring the payroll items accuracy, payments timely and accurate in compliance with local laws and workplace norms.
• Payment request & expense reimbursement approval: Timely review and approve the payment/reimbursement request, ensuring all requests complying with the corporate budget and procedure.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in finance, accounting, auditing, or related fields.
• Professional Knowledge: A strong foundation in accounting, finance, and taxation with familiarity with Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Skills: Proficiency in financial and office software applications, such as QuickBooks and Excel. –
• Language: Effective communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience related to the responsibilities mentioned above.
• Personal Attributes: A strong team player with a high sense of responsibility and the ability to thrive under pressure.
