Playground Construction Lead Hand Playground Installation Laborer
We are a construction company that installs playground equipment and park furnishings (benches, basketball nets, shade structures etc.) and performs park landscape construction across Ontario. We work on many high-profile Landscape Construction projects throughout Ontario. Our focus is to provide high quality installations following all safety standards.
The positions will provide steady seasonal work typically 40-60 hours per week.
We are looking for enthusiastic team members who are looking for a rewarding career in the Playground construction industry. We are committed to professional growth and are willing to provide ongoing training for the right candidates.
Lead Hand
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Ability to manage a 3–5-person crew.
· Read construction drawings and site plans.
· Perform site layout from landscape plans.
· Communicate regularly with management.
· Able to work without supervision.
· Possess full Ontario driver’s license with a clean abstract
· Able to drive a company vehicle from our Construction Yard located 10 minutes outside Brantford to the jobsites throughout Ontario.
Skills and Qualifications
· 2+ years of site Lead hand/ Site foreman experience in landscape construction
· AZ or DZ driver’s License
· Ability to weld (stick welding steel) or willing to train
· Skillfully operate skid steertrack loader and excavator
· CPSI Certified
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Working at heights certified or willing to obtain
Playground Installation Laborer
Job Duties
· Work as part of a team to complete jobs on time
· Perform general construction duties including unpackaging playgrounds, assisting in the assembly of playgrounds, keeping work site clean of garbage, operating equipment.
· Take direction well and work in a safe and professional manner
· The position will require travel and may require overnight stays.
· Have reliable transportation to our Construction Yard 10 minutes outside Brantford, ON
· Work overtime when required.
Qualification
· Ability to travel throughout the province.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Ability to work in all weather conditions outdoors.
· Ability to take directions from others.
· Able to pay attention to details and have pride in what you build.
Contract length: 9 months
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Salary: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
