As a MechanicalProcess Development Engineer you will be
responsible for:
Proactivelyidentifying the need for process development and improvement initiatives and takingthe lead on defining and implementing these initiatives.Improvements may include more robust processcontrol methodologies for existing processes.
Understandingand using appropriate statistical techniques to justify the efficacy andreliability of proposed improvements
Understandingthe Quality Management System and be able to successfully operate within itsconstraints
Establishingproductive relationships with personnel from Engineering, Operations, QualityAssurance and other groups, including external contractors
Takingthe lead on drafting new utilities, facilities, equipment and/or processvalidation protocols or modifying existing ones according to required processor product changes
Usingestablished relationships with other groups to gather the required informationfor the protocols
Organizingand participating in required execution of validation protocols and driving therelease of the corresponding reports.
Ensuringclear communication is provide to all relevant parties
Participatingin test method improvements, Root Cause Analysis, pFMEA’s and Qualityinitiatives

Required skills to
have for the success of this role:
Undergraduate degree in Chemical orMechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines such as Biochemistry, BiomedicalEngineering or Engineering Physics and/or an equivalent combination ofeducation and technical experience (preference may be given to those holdingaMasters degree)
Minimum of 3 years of related industrialexperience
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in theuse of statistical tools and application of statistical tools and applicationof statistical software programs (JMP, Minitab)
Mechanical design, part tolerancing (GD&T) and OpticalGauging Systems experience
Experienceinprograming (C#, Labview, Python)
Experience with the development ofprocess control strategies, Risk Analysis and Root Cause Analysis tools
Ability to draft complex protocolsrelated to Experimental Design and Process Validation
Attention to detail while maintainingthe ability to multi-task and manage project timelines
Good communication and interpersonalskills
Experience with process development andvalidation in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals or medical devicesis preferred.
