Main Responsibilities:
Review and strengthen the Quality Management System for Siemens Mobility in Canada:
Design and review the quality manual, policies and procedures to meet customers’ requirement, requirements of our operations, surpass industry standards and fulfill the requirements of ISO 9001.
Perform the yearly internal audit ISO 9001, develop action plans and follow up on the implementation with the management team and support the external audit process.
Support the development of quality strategies in projects.
Oversee the implementation of the Quality Management Plans and Siemens quality principles in daily operations:
Ensure proper documentation of processes to provide service that meet customer requirements and quality management requirements.
Perform root-cause investigation for technical incident, trends, and noncompliance.
Propose corrective actions and improve quality processes.
Perform quality audits and site inspection.
Maintain quality KPIs.
Lead quality management review.
Details:
As a Quality Manager, you will
Provide oversight to our operations to ensure Siemens teams deliver a very high-quality service to our customer.
Perform quality assurance on service delivery (KPIs, inspections, audits…) with the objective of ensuring that local management properly oversees, and documents work activities.
Ensure processes are in place to validate that products that we purchase meet the level of quality required.
Lead the review and mapping of internal processes and procedures to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats with regards to quality of service.
Drives the audit program increasing visibility, effectiveness and efficiency of Quality Management, including certification audits where applicable, to create a business impact.
Analyzes trends, deviations, root causes, risks and opportunities, identify action and ensure effectiveness: Drives continuous improvement with the management and lessons learned across the operations and prepare reports for customers as required.
Drives quality improvement methods and improve process performance management.
Ensures that managers and employees have a quality-oriented mindset by promoting role models and sharing best practices.
Oversee implementation and improvement of quality management plans in all aspects of the project’s operations: Identify and provide recommendations to management on training needs or opportunities that arise from quality assurance audits.
Lead relevant quality reporting, including Management Reviews.
Requirement:
Internal ISO 9001 auditor certified and experience in conducting audits.
Professional experience in quality management and continuous improvement.
Experience in developing reports, policies and procedures.
Experience in the railway industry (preferred) or heavy transportation industry.
Experience in supervision.
People management skills – consultation with employees, coaching, feedback, development of individuals.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
Positive team player with desire and ability to mentor others.
Proficient in MS Office.
Self-driven, discrete, diligent with great attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels in an organization.
