What will you do? Manage, guide, motivate and support the Credit & Collections team To ensure that the credit & collections team adheres to the company’s credit/collections policy and procedures as well as comply with audits, Compliance and other mandatory requirements Responsible for coordinating credit & collections activities to meet the business unit’s needs Manage credit risk by completing customer credit reviews to establish, monitor and maintain customer credit limits Review and approve GMDM requests for customer master changes and credit limit approvals Review and release escalated orders on credit block Responsible for ensuring lien, bond, and bankruptcy rules are followed through collaboration with the Legal department and the business unit. Responsible for processing and analyzing various month/year end reports to provide financial information to management and divisions within the deadlines Strategize to find ways to increase collections and reduce past dues to meet the DSO targets Provide reports with explanations to the business units on the overdue accounts on monthly basis Responsible to assess & improve current processes and implement new processes to increase efficiency and accuracy Assess and reorganize/realign the customer accounts to have the team work load balanced Responsible for weekly/monthly conference calls with BU/branches to review/escalate aged items and resolve customer disputes/issues Establish and maintain effective working relationship with both internal and external customers Monitor GSS cash applications to ensure accuracy/efficiency and that the cash is applied in timely fashion. Main contact for cash applications escalations Responsible for reviewing and approving customer refund cheques Assist the Senior Credit Manager for various AD Hock reports and/or special projects (i.e. Credit Limits of portfolio accounts) SAP/CCMT troubleshooting and resolving issues Assist in special projects for the credit department (i.e Credit Limits of portfolio accounts) What will you need to succeed? University degree or college diploma in an accounting / finance background CCP an asset 3-5 years of people management experience 5 or more years credit and collections experience. Construction industry knowledge preferred SAP experience preferred Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; Comfortable with Excel formulas & pivot tables. Bilingual (French/English) an asset About us. We share our ideas and champion the people behind them.
