Job Description:
This position promotes the growth and development of First Nations employment by developing and implementing organizational initiatives relating to recruitment, staffing, workforce planning, and career development.
Responsibilities include: Assisting Central Office managers in handling their day-to-day workforce planning, staffing, and recruitment activities. Serving as a resource to Casino HR departments regarding unique situations and escalated inquiries. Providing career development and planning support to SIGA employees. Assisting with coordination and administration of the annual performance evaluation cycle. Conducting research and analysis relating to SIGA’s organizational design. Assisting with the research and development of recommendations for consistent and fair staffing policies that position SIGA as an employer of choice. Gathering information and preparing reports on HR planning activities. Assisting managers with developing strategies to reach First Nations workforce goals. Participating in other projects and activities as required, in support of HR planning priorities.

Job Requirements:
Education:
Must possess, or currently working towards a Human Resource Management Certificate, diploma or undergraduate degree with a major/minor in the Human Resource field.
Experience:
Experience providing consultative guidance and support to colleagues and managers on recruitment, staffing, and workforce planning.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer software e.g. Microsoft Office excel, work, ppt and teams.
Experience with HR systems, i.e. JD Edwards and an application tracking system (ATS).
Previous experience in a human resource department is preferred.
