LITERACY AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS INSTRUCTOR FOR ADULT LEARNERS

Salary: $33.72 per hour
In accordance with the OSSTF Instructors’ Collective Agreement

Schedule: Monday to Friday Time: Varies, depending upon requirements
Qualifications:
Required: OSSD. Experience teaching Adult Literacy and Essential Skills in a continuous intake classroom setting with individualized instruction. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent math and computer skills. Ability to be flexible and respond to changing demands.
Preferred: Post-secondary education. Skilled in facilitating safe, enriching discussions in a group setting. Efficient in classroom management within a technologically rich and varied skill-set learning environment. Experience in literacy, employability and/or essential skills instruction with adults (18+). Experience working in a continuous intake classroom setting with students with a wide range of literacy and essential skills. Experience developing learning plans to accommodate various learning styles. Experience with database applications, Google Suites, and online learning platforms.
