Job Description:
Sky Group of Companies is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee our business operations. This is a strategic role and has overall responsibility for overseeing the development of schedules, budgets and reports, as well as for the management and coordination of project managers, supervisors, staff and sub-contractors to ensure safe, cost effective, efficient and timely completion of projects in order to meet client expectations. The General Manager will work closely with department managers, CEO, CFO and Managing Partners to develop strategic plans, ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations, and promote the company’s growth and overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business strategies that align with the Sky Group of Companies’ overall vision and mission.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
Monitor all projects delivery components including staff planning, administration, supply management.
Ensuring overall projects scope of work and service are performed in a safe, time manner and cost effective that meets client expectations.
Providing leadership to the project teams and lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals for the organization.
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Build and maintain relationships with leadership, key partners and clients.
Oversee all compliance and industry regulations related to our business activities.
Develop and manage the financial and operational budgets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field
Proven track record of successful operational management and in-depth knowledge in business operation processes.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within the construction industry, woodwork, millwork and steel work.
Demonstrated proficiency in financial management, business strategy and team leadership.
Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of business operation in industry.
Analytical skills and a pragmatic problem-solving approach.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Authorization to lawfully work in Canada.
Preferred Training and Certifications: WHMIS for Managers and Supervisors; Office Health and Safety; Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control.
