SMITHWOOD BUILDERS Looking for Construction Project Manager at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Full Time

Position Summary

You will oversee projects, most likely two at a time, mentor your teams, and ensure the highest quality of construction that Smithwood is known for. On a daily/weekly basis you’ll represent Smithwood with pride, patience, empathy, respect, positive intention and honor. You’ll own the project through the full cycle and be accountable to the entire project team. We use tools such as BuilderTrend to help stay on top of projects, and you’ll be tasked with updating schedules, budgets, and documentation through that platform.

From a client standpoint you’ll establish and maintain a positive relationship with clients, and keep an open line of communication with them while providing weekly reports/updates.

You’ll also be responsible for safety on sites and serve as a role model in that regards, and help set and enforce standards for how we build. From keeping an organized site to ensuring trades have everything they need to make sure the project unfolds as planned.

Of course you’ll have to enjoy what you do, that’s key for sure.

Skills Required

• Ideally someone who is a Red-Seal Carpenter or who has spent considerable time on residential renovating and custom home building projects so there is extensive comprehension of the sequence of events
• Technical ability in using software such as MS Excel/word, Gmail, and others
• Prior BuilderTrend experience is a bonus (we use BuilderTrend and are very happy with the platform)
• PMP certification is a bonus
• LEED Green Associate, Built Green certified builder, Passive House certification, Net Zero training are nice to haves.
