Smitty’s Fine Furniture is a third-generation family-owned local furniture store specializing in Canadian-made quality furniture. Our passion is exceptional customer experience in every aspect of our business. For nearly 75 years, Smitty’s has been a trusted name in home furnishings in Southern Ontario. We value our loyal customer base, as well as our deeply experienced staff, some of whom have been on our team for decades. We are currently operating from two showrooms: Hanover and Kitchener, Ontario.
Our approach to the market with our primary line of business is by promoting and selling the top furniture and mattress brands manufactured in Canada. Over 80% of our product displayed on the floor is made in Canada. Our logo says it all… “FOR THE LOVE OF CANADIAN FURNITURE. “
About the Position
The Website and Marketing Coordinator optimizes all user-facing aspects of the website, including appearance, content, navigation and the use of media to ensure an up-to-date reflection of our merchandise, brand and marketing campaigns. The role is responsible for creating all in-store signage, print, and digital display ads upon request. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Website and Marketing Coordinator regularly communicates with the Marketing, Sales and Buying teams as well as 3rd parties to support marketing campaigns and to provide data-driven analysis for feedback on the effectiveness of campaigns. This role works in a hybrid model of remote work with occasional on-site visits.
About You
You are familiar with web administration tools (Content Management Systems) and are motivated to create the best user experience by reflecting products in a visually pleasing, informative and accessible way. You have a passion for design and an appreciation for home décor. You have graphic design experience, understand communication best practices for retail, and have experience with digital advertising. You are hands-on, solution driven and willing to take on anything from small tasks to large projects. You are highly collaborative, strong with communication, and work with all parts of the company and external teams with ease.
