Logistics Coordinator

Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic “logistics coordinator” to join our dynamic team in our head office based in Montreal. Our organization is an international food import export business. The position will be held at the head office downtown Montreal. The company also has production facilities in the Maritimes (PEI and New Brunswick).
Responsibilities
· Overseeing all supply chain operations.
· Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
· Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments.
· Liaise with freight forwarder, plants, warehouse, and transport companies.
· Planning and managing logistics (land, air, and sea freight).
· Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation.
· Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.
· Reviewing, preparing, and routing purchase orders.
· Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues.
· Coordinate customs activities,
· Answering customer queries.
· Participate in the administration of external audit preparation of CFIA, MSC and others
· Assist with any other administrative projects as needed by the business.
Experience
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
· Working experience in food manufacturing industry
Specific Skills
· Knowledge of Incoterms, HS code system, CFIA /FDA / EU food regulations.
· Working knowledge of legal regulations and ISO requirements.
· High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other MS office suites.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Good management and organizational skills.
· Proactive and self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as within a team.
· Organized, flexible and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Being able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Able to plan, organize, and follow job activities in accordance with their importance and respond flexibly and effectively to changes or interruptions.
Role Pre-requisites
· French and English – Both advance level (required)
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
· Sage 300 knowledge (required)
