A bit about the role…
The Financial Analyst at Solink is a position that is both challenging and rewarding. We are searching for a charismatic person who has strong analytical, technology, communication and organizational skills. In this role, you will support the Controller and finance team by examining and analyzing accounting records of Solink. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in data and reporting, forecast revenues and expenditures and advise on future budgeting, and assist with month-end and year-end processes, among other duties. Ultimately, you will ensure our financial planning is healthy and profitable and aligns with business objectives.
WHO YOU ARE:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is preferred.
- You have 2+ years’ experience in accounting.
- You have a strong understanding of IFRS and auditing standards.
- You have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and are able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You have strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- You have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- You have a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Experience with NetSuite, this is a STRONG asset.
- Experience in the SaaS industry is an asset.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
- Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;
- Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Establish and maintain internal controls.
- Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses.
- Research accounting issues for compliance with IFRS.
- Review and analyze financial statements and report cost variances.
- Coordinate with and prepare reports for Controller and upper management.
- Assist with preparations for audits.
- Utilize accounting IT systems to facilitate processes and maintain records.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes.
- Understand key business drivers.
- Contribute to team efforts by performing other duties as assigned.
- Assist with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, and performing research and analysis as may be required.
