A bit about the role…
We are growing and looking for someone to join the Growth Team who will be responsible for managing all the data engineering aspects of our Growth Marketing initiatives.
As an experienced data engineer, you will be responsible for using data as a means to grow our lead generation and revenue. You will be a part of a team that lives and breathes automation and actionable analysis. You will be a part of the team that connects all the data between our different software used as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams, such as, Marketing, Growth and Product so that we can create a network and effect growth.

WHO YOU ARE
You love Data, Data, Data – Data Engineering, Data Analysis and Data Automation
You are a person who is PASSIONATE about Data and EXPERIMENTATION
You hold an undergraduate degree in a relative computer program ie. Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field
You have 3+ years of professional experience in data related roles
You have experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
You have strong analytical skills related to working with unstructured datasets
You can build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
You have strong project management and organizational skills
You have experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
You have experience in using a scripting language (eg. Python or equivalent)
You have experience in integrating automation tools
You have experience in A/B testing and experimentations
You have experience in tracking and analytics tools (eg. Mixpanel, Google Analytics)
You have experience in data modeling
You hold strong written and verbal communication skills to translate data into actionable insights
Bonus if …
You have successfully worked within a Growth Team previously
You can identify key tasks and possess the ability to problem-solve and create workarounds, as needed
You excel and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
You have experience in JavaScript (ES6), CSS, HTML and PHP

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In short – Data Engineering, Data Analysis and Data Automation…
Create and maintain optimal data pipelines and systems and discover new insights and activate automations.
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements – Extract value, making sure we use the data to its full capacity by exploring the capabilities and presenting them to the team.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing of specific growth tactics for greater scalability, etc. (eg. google maps screenshots of addresses for ABM campaigns).
Ensure optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and other technologies.
Build/use analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition (Creating lists of prospects in a more automated way), operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
Ensure Data Enrichment by adding more information to our existing contacts in our CRM + automatically checking the validity of new leads.
Customer modeling: using data points to find a pattern of how customers found us and converted (reverse engineering). (eg. which common elements or patterns can we use to attract similar prospects).
Lead scoring: create a predictable score based on the likelihood of closing (based on customer modeling or other data points)
Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Sales, Marketing and Growth teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Create, grow and strive for functionality in our data and maintain a live dashboard with all growth metrics.
Use product and user data for growth: eg. Aggregating data on a brand level and creating comparison. eg. How does a brand’s operator with X number of sites compare to the brand’s overall metrics (benchmarking tool to create network effect).
Create a funnel visualization, broken down by channel and campaign to see conversion rates, volume and drop offs.
Implement leads tracking & Ad platform tracking and maintenance process: capture every touch point that leads to a conversion/demo request for higher accuracy (eg. chat, form, phone call, direct email, etc.).
