As a Somerville Lot Driver, you exhibit a high level of professional conduct and outstanding customer service and courtesy at all times. Your driving record is spotless and you are dedicated to providing safe and timely vehicle movements. You can follow directions, but you are also able to work independently and are a problem solver; unusual incidents or problems won’t deter you.

What else makes you a great fit for this role? You can:

• Keep the lot organized and tidy, through all types of weather.
• Move trucks as directed by the Manager.
• Drive vehicles to and from different locations throughout the GTA.
• Responsible for quick and proper cleaning of vehicles as required.
• Collect vehicle info as required.
• Install license plates as required.
• In keeping with the Somerville Hino brand values ensure that presentation and conduct is professional at all times.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Ensure when driving to obey all laws and carry all required documentation.
• Clear vehicles and sidewalks of snow as required.
• Perform other tasks requested by the Regional Fleet Operations Director.

You’ll bring:

• Full “G” Class Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Minimum secondary school diploma.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ideally, some car and truck knowledge.
• The ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• The desire to work as a team player.
• The ability and drive to clean vehicles quickly and effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice to have:

• Previous Dealership Experience
• Z Endorsement for Air Brake Trucks
• Comfort driving trucks up to 26’ in length
