Southbridge Care Homes owns and operates 26 Long-Term Care Homes and 9 Retirement Homes throughout many urban and rural areas of Ontario. Southbridge Care Homes is seeking an Interior Designerr to deliver support and expertise to our Operations leadership team.

Duties and Responsibilities

•  Conceptualizing, designing, and executing projects in all phases of the interior design process
• Working with our architects and consultants in order to generate conceptual design, schematic design and design development packages, proposals, bidding and tender packages, and construction documents
• Help in creating and maintaining Southbridge design standards
• Collaborating with cross-departmental teams within the company to design, execute and deliver great projects
• Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and other applicable laws
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Report to Accounting all required documentation for invoice approvals
• Liaison with all Team members, Senior Executives and Government agencies as required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Interior Design (Degree or Diploma)
• High level of organization and ability to work collaboratively, and independently
• Ability to receive project information and organize and create corporate level presentations with minor oversight
• Self starter, ambitious, with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Passion for Real Estate and Construction Development
• Ability to provide simultaneous support for needs across multiple projects in varying phases
• Strong detail-oriented skills are critical, along with exceptional time management and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels in the organization and government
• Adobe, CAD and Revit experience is a must
• Willingness to travel; a valid driver’s license is required
• Strong understanding of building and interiors materials and detailing
