The Opportunity
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Vice-President, Academic (VPA) is a senior executive officer of SAIT responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the academic portfolio and related leadership initiatives. Collaborating with the President and CEO and the Executive Team, the VPA provides leadership, direction and support concerning academic operations which includes strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting, while enhancing transparency, trust, and collegiality. Advancing SAIT’s Strategic Plan and supporting the Education Plan and Global Strategy, this role will champion academic excellence, and innovation, and integrate academic and non-academic services to achieve the priorities and long-range plans of the institution.
As the ideal candidate, you have a minimum of a graduate degree (a doctorate is an asset) combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles in post-secondary settings. You have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work collegially and a demonstrated history effecting change and leading transformation.
