Exciting opportunity from our public sector client who is a provincial health authority.
THE ROLE
Our client is currently looking for an Application Analyst Resource to support a
number of back-office applications that support financial and human resources services. Responsibilities
will include participating in upgrades as well as incident, service request and change management
support. The successful Resource(s) will be required to develop and maintain support documentation.
The Application Analysts will report to the Program Manager for AIMS legacy support. This is a highly
visible, busy, and challenging role that will be focused on supporting approximately 80
applications/services.

The successful Resource(s) will undertake the subsequent tasks and responsibilities, which include but
Are Not Limited To The Following
” Research and analyze issues with existing applications and/or transactions.
” Assist with planning and implementations of new applications and technology changes or
upgrades in a complex, integrated environment.
” Assesse, monitor, sustain and/or optimize the performance of large scale customized, off the
shelf and custom-developed applications, interfaces and associated environments.
” Liaise and collaborate with other eHealth teams and stakeholders.
” Maintain and upgrade system code for regional/provincial applications and services.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
The individual must have the following Qualifications/Requirements
” Minimum of 7 years in an Application/ Systems Analyst role.
Rated Qualifications/Requirements
The ideal Resource will have the following qualifications and have experience fulfilling the following job
requirements.
” Possesses an understanding of ITIL best practices including Application Life Cycle Management,
Change Management and Service Delivery Management.
” Experience assessing, monitoring, sustaining and/or optimizing the performance of large scale
customized, off the shelf and custom-developed applications, interfaces and associated
environment.
” Possesses understanding and knowledge in a variety of programing languages such as Java, .Net,
ASP, PHP and Html, SQL, Citrix/ XenApp application delivery.
” Has proven experience conducting requirement analysis and unit testing.
” Has a history of successfully delivering positive outcomes utilizing solution design techniques.
” Previous experience working as a system administrator performing basic functions such as:
- User/account management including role-based security
- Service/Interface management
- File transfer
- Job scheduling
” Previous experience working with multi-tiered architectures, including engagement with cross [1] functional teams (ie server, network, DBAs).
” Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relevant support documentation and contribute to
incident and program solving records.
” Proven capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
” Has previous experience within a health sector
