The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading employees through orientations, training, mentoring opportunities and coaching to achieve best performance. Training topics include: production methods, safety, policies & procedures. The successful applicant will demonstrate a sense of urgency to meet key targets, standards and accountability. The successful applicant will build teams and maintain lasting relationships with peers, corporate departments, key business partners and employees. Further, using well-developed problem-solving skills, new methods will be sourced and incorporated into existing practices. Budgeting of resources local to the department and global to the plant will be essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
Team members must have/have the ability to:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous work in a pre-fabricated manufacturing setting is an asset.
· Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and coach employees on process changes.
· Reasonable understanding of change management principals.
· Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
· High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability.
· Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
· Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
· Formal training and practical experience in Lean manufacturing principals/techniques preferred.
· Red Seal/Journeyman Certificate (welding, plumbing, electrical, construction) an asset.
