Job Description
We are seeking an CPA Staff Accountant for a well-established public accounting firm with a diverse client base.
Our ideal candidate will have a CPA designation and a minimum of 3 years experience in public practice. Will report to Dan St. Arnaud.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of Compilation and Review Engagement financial statements
- Preparation of working paper files for corporate clients
- Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns
- Bookkeeping duties in QuickBooks Online and Caseware
- Providing support to partners and senior team management in related administrative tasks
- Work effectively with partners and the staff team
Experience
- Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and time organization skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with various software packages, including Sage 50 (formally Simply Accounting), QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Caseware, Jazz-it, TaxCycle and Microsoft Office
- Strong and clear communication skills both written and verbal
- Motivated to learn and grow within the accounting field
- Business Administration Diploma – Accounting or Bachelor of Business Administration
- Professional Accounting Designation
- Minimum 3 years experience in public practice
