Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking Integrity Engineers-in-Training (EITs) to join our Integrity Team in Calgary or Edmonton.
The primary role of these positions will be to support Project Engineers, Team Leads, and Managers working on Asset Integrity-related projects such as: NDE (non-destructive excavation) QA/QC, fitness-for-service (FFS) calculations, ILI (in-line inspection) tool validation, and various other tasks.
Your Key Responsibilities
Complete engineering assessments on pipeline flaws including metal loss, dent, crack-like, and SCC features
Prepare reports, summaries, and engineering decisions records for review
Collaboration with team members between multiple groups
Meet all requirements of Client and Stantec Quality measures
Strengthen technical knowledge through on-the-job, informal, and formal training
Be familiar with and ensure appropriate industry-accepted methods and applicable codes and regulations are utilized
Liaise, establish, and maintain positive relationships with peers and Clients
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Knowledge of Canadian standards, practices, and applicable legislation
Familiarity with assessment procedures laid out in ASME B31G, CSA Z662, CSA SPE-225.7, and API-579 would be an asset
Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated technical proficiency and process improvement skills
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and adaptability
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (Integrity EITs) in related engineering disciplines (i.e., Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials)
Registered E.I.T. with APEGA. Registration with EGBC would be an asset
Experience related to asset integrity within the Canadian energy industry would be an asset
This is a seven-month temporary position starting from June 2023 and ending in December 2023 (with potential expansion depending on the available work and the success of the project / candidate). This role will require the applicants to work a 37.5hr week on a 4 day compressed schedule (either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday) with daily shifts on either the AM (5am to 3pm) shift or PM (1:30pm to 11:30pm) shift.
This is primarily a remote role with occasional commutes to the office required.
