Your Opportunity
We are seeking a senior professional with experience in the kraft pulp & paper industry and environmental management to join our Thunder Bay Environmental Services team to lend their expertise on a casual, as-needed basis.
Your Key Responsibilities
Execute specific technical tasks or requirements for projects
Participate in promoting the adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Guidelines in the execution of all work
Provide supervision, training, technical direction, and mentoring to more junior staff
Apply technical and business knowledge and methods to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address project concerns
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Demonstrated proficiency in promoting HSSE policies and procedures
Ability to provide written and verbal direction on project delivery
Skilled in communications and technical information exchange with clients, engineers and scientists
Disciplined approach to project execution and technical excellence
Proven leadership in striving to continuously improve technical performance
Ability to champion new ideas and initiatives and create an environment that supports creativity and innovation
Good driving record and a valid driver’s license are required
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related field.
Minimum 25 years of experience in the kraft paper & pulp industry, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., advanced degree) and experience.
