Starboard Transport Inc. is looking for a Junior Dispatcher to join our Brampton team.
Job Summary: The role of the Junior Dispatcher at Starboard Transport is required to coordinate and optimize delivery schedules. They will work to resolve any logistical problems that arise such as traffic or other delays. In addition, the Dispatcher will be responsible for updating customer web portals with up-to-date information. Lastly, they must always ensure proper safety procedures are being carried out.
Job Responsibilities:
- Continually monitor the load boards to book loads.
- Answer all customer calls, monitor and reply to all customer emails
- Schedule pick-up and delivery times for the drivers based on load and route planning
- Effectively plan and prioritize loads making best use of equipment and drivers.
- Assist drivers with concerns and questions.
- Maintain the company’s dispatch software by ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date·
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Dispatch experience is a strong asset.
- Experience with MS Excel and Outlook is required.
- 1 year of customer service experience is required.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines with high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Salary: $14.00-$24.00 per hour
