Stellar Creative Lab is hiring top talent for a New Streaming Series for Marvel Studios.

We are looking for insanely talented Modeling Artists who have an amazing eye for shape and form to bring their Modeling, Surfacing & Texture Skills to a tight-knit team on this Prestige Streaming Series.

Ownership of your creative work from initial sculpting through to surfacing – we aim to create an elevated workflow as we bring to life epic characters, props and vehicles. There will be some environment modeling as well, but we are looking for artists who specialize primarily in Characters.

What We Need:

• Excellent brushwork that can express a painterly style.
• A good understanding of natural and synthetic surface characteristics.
• Ability to read surface art reference and determine the physical material components.
• Understanding of anatomy – biped and quadroped.
• Experience with shader and texturing setups and their impact on rendering performance.
• Create textures that adhere to the show’s production design across sets and characters.
• Design and build basic materials that can be reused throughout the studio.
• Work closely with other artists, including modelers and lighting artists to meet the desired in-film look.
• Experience with, and comfortable working from production designs to create digital assets.
• Critical analysis of pre-viz and production designs to create optimized assets that balance aesthetic and technical requirements on each project.
• Self motivated, deadline and task driven to meet team and production deadlines.
• Hands-on experience and deep knowledge of Maya tools.
• Great collaborator who can work with multiple departments to achieve the right look.
• Solid experience and understanding of deadlines and workflows for long format productions.
• Comfortable Working From Home and Working From Studio
• Work closely with other teams to troubleshoot and solve potential problems early in the pipeline.
• Passion and drive to raise modeling standards to the highest creative and technical level possible.

Your Experience, Talents and Abilities:

• 2+ years professional experience using 3D painting tools like Mari, Substance Painter, Photoshop and creating assets and modeling in Maya.
• Experience and a solid understanding of Zbrush and Photoshop.
• Strong painting skills with a good understanding of color theory and design, shadow and light.
• This is a remote (work from home) position, but if you prefer to work from the studio this is also possible!
• Eligible to work in B.C.
