We are a small Agricultural and Horticultural company with a focus on Equine and Garden/yard product supply and services.
Our company has been around for over a decade with continual growth in its field and expansion into other industries and sectors. We pride ourselves on service and communication with our clients.
Who we are looking for
We are looking looking for someone looking to fill either their morning or afternoons (Monday – Thursday/Friday). Maybe a parent looking to fill the time while their children are at school or camp, or a retiree looking to fill a portion of their day. Or someone just looking for a position that gives them the flexibility to set their schedule.
Skills and Description of daily tasks
Answer call, and take detailed information down for follow-up calls or orders.
Must have the ability to answer calls, transfer calls, take messages, or place calls on hold to answer other calls coming in.
Planning meetings, sitting in on meetings (at location) taking notes or minutes if required, follow up action item list or summary.
Must have the ability to use Word, time manage, communicate with the team on priorities, and set meetings.
Send emails with updates on shipping, appointments, or status of orders.
Must have the ability to use Outlook.
Pack orders (envelope or small single box orders), process thru Canada Post/Purolator/UPS. Send tracking to team or customers.
Must have the ability to do detailed work and learn how to operate online shipping portals.
Training
We don’t expect anyone to come in knowing everything or having all the skills, and would much rather they don’t. Training is an expected portion of this job and we are here to train. The only portion of training is the ability to retain training with the ability to learn and use the training provided.
Full-time or Part-time
If the candidate has abilities to take on other projects or responsibilities, a full-time position is available.
The time and hours set are flexible to schedule, but once decided on will need to be consistent.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
Salary: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
