As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front and back of house operations. You must demonstrate outstanding leadership, managing, mentoring, and motivating the team. You are passionate about the restaurant industry and dedicated to the growth of the brand – a forward thinker with a positive attitude who puts guest service first.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee successful running of the restaurant, working to achieve financial and human resource goals and objectives as set out by senior management team
• You will oversee all restaurant financials, such as human resources, cost of goods sold and achieving margin targets.
• Lead by example by demonstrating and communicating Strip Joints vision to all team members.
• Manage human resources which includes hiring, conducting orientation, training and ongoing employee performance and ensuring patrons have a memorable experience through coaching, portraying a positive work culture and enforcing Strip Joint’s vision. Manage shifts which includes scheduling and planning while ensuring consistency in the delivery of high-quality food and customer service.
• Achieves goals through strong organizational skills and effective time management.
• Builds relationships by finding common ground and working cohesively with all team members and guests.
• Effectively communicates, sharing goals and challenges and continuously coaching the team on ways to improve value and service.
• Maintains composure and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure general maintenance, cleanliness and compliance with licensing and health & hygiene regulations.
• Perform financial and personnel related administrative duties utilizing payroll software, preparing labour projections and tracking inventory.
• Positively impact sales and profitability through monitoring and continuous improvement processes.

Core Competencies:

• Must possess 2 – 4 years of experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role at a restaurant, which includes solid knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Passion to succeed and grow in an organization.
• Ability to assess situations, customize solutions and communicate plans to direct reports to accomplish objectives, while maintaining exceptional customer service.
• Ability to coordinate, communicate and balance multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
• Manage employees by building strong teamwork and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is properly staffed for all shifts.
• Lead, manage and deliver the perfect guest experience each shift for dine-in, take-out and delivery
• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant.
• Shift management of controllable costs, such as: food, beverage, labour and quality control.
• Ensure occupational health and safety standards are in place and adhered to, continually assessing and adjusting as needed.
• Measure and evaluate service standards by using various feedback tools to develop and implement plans for continuous service improvement.
• High level of organization and execution of systems and policies
• Strong communicator who can ensure quality of service and successful operations.
• Flexible, adaptable and strong work ethic.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends. No early mornings required.
