THE ROLE

STRIVE has partnered with an esteemed client in the construction industry. This is a great opportunity to work with a renowned company, a TOP EMPLOYER, and expand your current experience. We are looking for a Service Department Scheduler who is adaptable and focused for their Delta location.

Reporting to the Service Manager Repair and Maintenance Manager, this position is primarily responsible for making all necessary arrangements to schedule repair roofing crews including (but not limited to) the coordination of crew availability, client needs and timelines, company vehicles and materials required per appointment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the crew schedule
• Completes roof reports
• Liaises with clients and site contacts
• Provides relevant information to the Company Safety Representative, for further consideration of a site safety inspection
• Maintains an up to date data base of work orders and client information
• Troubleshoots all scheduling logistics issues as they arise and takes appropriate action.
• Scheduling plans meet the following criteria:
• Liaises with other Company schedulers (4) to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts with crew personnel or equipment
• Scheduling plans are made one day in advance of the call schedule
• Communicate with a crew member on a customer call each morning, prior to work initiated and afternoon.
• Troubleshoots issues that may impact the customer services expected as per the work order
• Communicates with clients 24 hours following a leak call to ensure client satisfaction.
• Updates and maintains client database
• Completes work orders
• Updates client information
• Prepares client invoices and corresponds with clients on the billing information
• Sends an internal Company request for a metalwork quote;
• When a metal quote is approved, liaise with clients and Company to produce and install the metal work at the client site
• Maintains all Company electronic and hard copy files
• Acts as a back-up for Company Scheduler on scheduler plans and maintenance reports
• Communicates all pertinent information to Supervisor regarding crew and customer issues, in a timely manner
• Acts as a backup for reception, when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a clerical role with strong phone skills
• Be experienced in Microsoft Office programs and using in using based programs.
• Be able to type 40 or more words per minute
• Be highly organized, prioritizes work and is deadline driven
• Follows directions and works well independently.

• Telephone etiquette is courteous, polite and concise
• Written communication is accurate and concise
