Job Description:
The Corporate Finance area is a financial group that support key financial deliverables and functions such as monthly financial results, planning/forecasting, variance analysis. In addition, this area supports critical senior management decision making and information sharing.
Reporting to the Corporate Real Estate Finance Operations Manager, the Financial Analyst will be looked upon to support key deliverables, maintain strong financial controls and governance focus on accuracy and timeliness of deliverables and respond to ad-hoc requests that arise. The incumbent will be a financial professional with hands-on experience in financial control, analysis and reporting as they relate to the budget and forecast expense cycles in a large organization. They will be looked upon to build strong and credible relationships with relevant stakeholders and apply concepts and knowledge from one task to another in a dynamic environment.

What will you do?
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and delivery of accurate financial results
- Engage in the process of PO creation, invoice payments, Real Estate capital project accruals and reconciliations, Concur expense allocation,
- Support budget and forecasting cycles
- Support the administration of Lease management System (Aptitude) in accordance to the IFRS16 Accounting Standards
- Project reconciliations for all Real Estate capital projects
- Fixed Asset set up
What do you need to succeed?
- Education in in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Knowledge of reporting including financial and management reporting
- Quick learner, adaptable and passionate to excel
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in areas of financial management and portfolio management; financial and business acumen
- Well-organized and self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a focus on provision of accurate information
- Excellent analytical and problem-solution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Hyperion Planning or other reporting applications

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
