Role Overview:
As a Junior Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our consultancy cases, delivering exceptional service to our clients, and contributing to the development of educational solutions. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with a preference for candidates located in Thunder Bay or Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to facilitate occasional in-person meetings or collaborations.
Job Type:
Part-time, 20 hours per week, continuous, with the potential to become a permanent full-time position.
Responsibilities:
· Support consultants by tracking case progress, editing student essays and application documents, and offering essay coaching to students.
· Stay abreast of admission requirements; keep informed about institution and immigration policy updates.
· Conduct assessments to determine the educational needs of clients or institutions.
· Provide strategic advice to parents and students on academic and extracurricular activities, personal statements, and recommendation letters designed to increase the probability of admission to competitive educational institutions.
· Help clients identify the most relevant educational and training programs to meet their career goals.
· Advise students and their families on college and career choices, including admission requirements and application process information.
· Assist in the development of college readiness programs and summer camps.
· Facilitate communication between schools and parents.
· Provide clients with continued support and assistance as they implement recommended adjustments within the allocated budget.
· Build client relationships, manages expectations, and provides excellent customer service and support.
· Attend conferences, workshops, and training programs to stay updated on educational trends.
· Perform additional tasks to support senior consultants.
Requirements:
· Minimum Bachelor’s degree required; academic experience is considered an asset.
· Excellent writing skills, particularly in academic writing.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Must be fluent in both English and Chinese.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team; demonstrate a strong work ethic.
· Demonstrated interest and experience in the education sector.
· Candidates located in Thunder Bay or Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are preferred.
Pay & Benefits:
· $16.55-$24/hour
