Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Description:
Reporting to the Field Mechanic Supervisor, the job of a Field Repair Personnel is to assist the Field Mechanics with general maintenance and repairs on field equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Field Repair Personnel includes, but are not limited to:
Assisting mechanics with minor repairs and maintenance on the heavy equipment in the field.
Responsible for cutting edges, changing hoses, providing support for field mechanics to ensure they can complete their repairs in a safe and efficient manner
Must be mechanically inclined and have a strong ability to assess and determine what tools/materials may be required while the mechanics perform routine inspections on heavy equipment.
Ability to identify and escalate any newly identified discrepancies with heavy equipment to supervising journeryperson and ensure they are communicated to the maintenance team.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of 2-5 years working in a mechanical capacity is required.
Experience in field, working with heavy equipment is required.
Class 5 driver’s license with air brakes (no GDL) required.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions for long hours.
Highly motived and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
Committed to providing high quality services while demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
Must be flexible working various shifts and hours as required; including being available for evenings and weekends.
