SWAT Consulting Inc. Looking for Reclamation Supervisor / Environmental Scientist at Calgary, AB Full Time

SWAT Consulting Inc. is seeking an outgoing, energetic individual to fill a full-time role for a Reclamation Supervisor / Intermediate Environmental Scientist to support our growing remediation and reclamation project team. This position can be based out of either Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, with remote work opportunities available (specifically Grande Prairie, Brooks/Drumheller, and/or Kindersley). We are looking for an exceptional individual who will be responsible for supervising the execution of assessment, remediation and reclamation projects throughout Western Canada, but primarily within Central Alberta. The appropriate candidate will bring strong technical and field experience; the position is approximately 80% field based with focus on planned project work for site closure and liability management programs. Experience with remedial excavations, wellsite reclamation and completing detailed site assessments (DSAs) is a requirement. Experience with Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, groundwater monitoring and remediation, and non-routine site closure activities would be an asset. Qualifications

The ideal applicant will have:

· Experience supervising wellsite remediation and reclamation and completing detailed site assessments (DSAs). Experience with Phase 1 ESAs, Phase 2 ESAs, groundwater monitoring and remediation, and vegetation management would be an asset. Minimum 3+ years’ experience.

· Problem-solving skills in the field as a site supervisor, including management of multiple contractors, scopes and site locations at any given time.

· Understanding of upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements including Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Guidelines, CCME Guidelines and AER Directives 50 and 58.

· Excellent teamwork skills to work positively and collaboratively with a diverse team. As well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive working relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

· Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a safety mindset, critical thinking and strong attention to detail, and a focus on efficient task execution.

· A Degree or Technical Diploma in an environmental discipline. It would be an advantage to be a member of a professional association.

· Must possess a valid Class 5 (non-GDL) driver’s licence.
