Role:
This position functions as the key facilitator between Sysco Corporate Supply Chain charged with driving the Market Vice Presidents of Merchandising, Operations, and Finance with implementation of strategic supply chain goals designed to maximize profit and service to the Operating companies. The Director is tasked with designing, implementing, and monitoring progress, on strategic and tactical cross functional Supply Chain solutions to drive financial results across multiple areas: inbound logistics, merchandising, operations, and distribution.
Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for their market’s freight revenue, collaboration to improve cost, and create an atmosphere to optimize Logistics earned income.
Directs market wide inbound supply chain process design, implementation, management and communication across all stakeholders.
Develops and performs opportunity assessment for improvement, sets expectations, and implements process to reach performance goals while maintaining solid accountability practices across these projects.
Responsible for managing and developing staff for succession planning.
Provide leadership cross functionally related to the realization of market level logistics financial expectations. This includes financial plan development, communication and accountability.
Assure that the supply chain needs of the sites are met with highest levels of service at the lowest sustainable cost.
Lead in addressing specific market issues. Must take ownership, identify gaps and work to complete resolution while coordinating and communicating cross functionally.
Build a strong, effective market team by developing, coaching, and mentoring team members.
Refine scope and cadence of Market Business Review process to maximize impact and maintain “top of mind” awareness at the site level of Supply Chain market conditions, initiatives, and expectations.
Drive Market Relevant Freight process by collaborating with Canada Executive and field teams on implementation.
Accountable for “go to market” strategies to improve inventory purchasing process while driving efficiencies in service & cost, i.e. Multi-site loads, Cross dock & consolidation options, and other logistic solutions.
Coordinate with analytical resources to conduct benchmarking exercises with outside entities to increase familiarization with cutting edge supply chain practices.
Monitor ongoing activities in specific markets, ensuring compliance to process, and communicating to executive level when off track performance arises, and sites are failing to comply with recommendations.
Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.
Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements

May support other duties as assigned, such as special projects, supply chain enhancements, etc.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years supply chain experience or comparable experience accepted
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership capacity
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Ability to facilitating change, to lead and direct change on innovative approaches, opportunities, etc.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
System experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required
