Position Summary
The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in supporting the goals and objectives of the Product Owner. They ensure high availability, continuous improvement, user efficiency, and data integrity. The Scrum Master effectively manages backlogs, facilitates story mapping, and assists in creating User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to maximize value.
Responsibilities
- Implement, coach, train, and facilitate all Scrum Ceremonies
- Design and execute all Scrum-related documents, templates, and models
- Lead and guide the team towards Scrum and Agile methodologies in collaboration with Product Owners
- Resolve conflicts between Development/Business Analysts and Product Owners
- Manage sprint velocity, map tickets to sprints, and execute sprint planning tasks
Additional Responsibilities
- Navigate the team through uncertainty, risk, and complexity and communicate risks to stakeholders
- Proactively explore industry trends and technological advancements for innovative solutions
- Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Software Developers in meetings, plans, documents, and work product
Requirements
- University Degree/College Diploma in Business Analysis, Project Management/IT Project Management, or relevant education in Business
- Certification or training in SCRUM is required
- Experience in an agile development environment is a must-have
- In-depth working experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Business Analyst with change management advocacy
- Previous hands-on knowledge of JIRA and implementation of workflows, approval levels, KPIs, and reporting outputs
- Creative problem solver with the ability to facilitate, lead, coach, and mentor
- Proficiency in leading and implementing Scrum Ceremonies
- Ability to think outside the box and apply innovative concepts to common problems
- Exposure and experience using project management software and standards (MS Project, Asana, Gantt Charts, Visio, etc.)
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across levels and functions, internally and with third parties
- Experience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with ambiguous conditions and multiple cross-competing priorities
