Tamatta Mining & Construction Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and contribute to our financial success. If you are passionate about numbers, possess strong organizational skills, and have a knack for accuracy, we want to hear from you.
Position: Casual Bookkeeper
Location: Remote in Edmonton
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Utilize QuickBooks to maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Work closely with the management team to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process.
- Collaborate with external accountants during audits and tax filings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper with proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
