Tasttlig is technology company in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We focus on building innovative web and mobile technologies to support mom-and-pop retailers. Our flagship application, Tasttlig is a web and mobile food festival platform that introduces people to local neighbourhood food festivals four times a year during the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter seasons. The festival features food from around the world, deals and specials by predominantly mom-and-pop restaurants, coffee shops, diners, and other businesses. The Tasttlig app attracts guests looking to try food from around the world and shop for attractive deals in their neighbourhood. The Tasttlig neighbourhood festivals seek to improve tourism and support the global hospitality industry.

Objective

-Ask small mom-and-pop businesses to participate in our neighbourhood festivals, help promote and grow their presence, and to join the Tasttlig business community

Compensation

A Festival Coordinator makes on average $75,000/year in sales commissions. We provide a base salary (amount to be determined) for the first three months of training then fully commission after.

Reports

• Reports to operations manager for their territory

Duties:

• Visiting businesses in their downtime to introduce Tasttlig to them

• Connect businesses to our neighbourhood festivals and gather business info from them through our app

• Sell Tasttlig festival hosting opportunities and memberships and referrals for business services.

• Sell artist memberships for festival and year-round events

• Submit all marketing materials to printer and pick up in timely manner

• Distribute neighbourhood festival marketing materials such posters and window decals

• Deliver strong customer service for businesses regarding any festival/membership issue or inquiry

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of sales experience required

• Able to strongly represent Tasttlig and its products/services

• Strong communication and selling skills

• Accountable to Operations Manager for all issues/feedback

• Proficiency in more than one language is an asset

• Driver’s Licence is an asset

Schedule

Field hours

Tues-Sat 2-5 PM EST

Remote hours

Flexible between business hours – Monday to Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM EST

Training hours (2 weeks)

1 hr each day between 8 AM and 8 PM Monday-Friday to train with office staff in-person
