The role:

• Review and comprehend contracts and subcontractor documentation related to the project to ensure that project setup procedures align with the specified contract terms and conditions.
• Gather, reconcile, obtain approval, and handle all financial transactions associated with the project, including subcontractor payments, general expenditures, internal hourly payroll costing allocations, and other transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to meet contractual payment terms.
• Compile client billing packages following approved procedures to ensure clients receive timely billings, and payments are received in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
• Maintain precise and timely cash flow data, both current and forecasted, in comparison to the projected cash flow outlined in the financial model applicable to the project.
• Support the Project Manager in the preparation of monthly reports for owner/consultant and internal reporting.

The candidate:

• Possess a post-secondary education in Business Administration/Finance, coupled with 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent blend of technical training and practical expertise.
• Exhibit the capability to accurately discern financial scenarios and devise rational solutions to assist a project team or business area.
• Showcase robust organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, coupled with a proactive inclination to work independently and on-site at project locations.
• Demonstrate adeptness in handling pressure and effectively managing tight deadlines.
• Prior experience in a construction environment would be considered advantageous.
