Audit’s Professional Practice Group (PPG) provides strategic guidance and independent oversight to Internal Audit professionals. Through due diligence, and with a strong sense of integrity, we help mitigate potential risks to our business.

We’re counted on to provide recommendations to enhance operational performance, at every single level to foster meaningful process improvements and ensure adherence to internal and external regulations.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Audit Governance and Control, the Manager Audit Governance and Control leads a diverse portfolio of risk related programs to effectively manage and mitigate operational and regulatory risks (with a focus on Privacy and Regulatory Compliance programs) and drive a strong governance and control culture. This includes liaising between team members, cross functional teams across various geographies, business and technology stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, meeting plans and associated change activities are planned, communicated, and delivered.

You will also be responsible to provide thought leadership and facilitate key strategic audit discussions with executives as you build new relationships with key enterprise partners and gain a deeper understanding into our processes.

Job Accountabilities:

The general accountability of this role ensures effective execution of the enterprise 1B Mandate and Standard across Internal Audit, include but are not limited to the following:

  • Interact with corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with Enterprise and/or Regulatory requirements.

  • Act as Privacy Designate for Internal Audit.

  • Assess and identify key issues and raise to the appropriate levels and relevant partners and business management where required.

  • Lead and plan activities that require alignment across multiple areas.

  • Execute and coordinate controls, testing and monitoring requirements, where required.

  • Participate in enterprise committees, meetings, or programs.

  • Identify, mitigate, and report on risk issues according to guidelines and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed; raise nonstandard issues to relevant shareholders and audit management where required.

  • Lead the development and integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, changes across multiple audit areas while ensuring they follow applicable regulations and stay knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements.

  • Understand end-to-end processes and integrate best practices to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance and control programs.

  • Ensures artifacts are preserved in accordance with program governance standards.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Audit, Risk Management or Governance and Control areas with an undergraduate degree.

  • Deep industry and business knowledge and expertise on risk and control functions.

  • Knowledge related to controls and transactional testing, be a critical thinker and

understand how to identify and mitigate risk.

  • Ardent in processing and handling confidential information with discretion while acting with the highest levels of integrity.

  • Proficiency with MS Office, analytical tools, and Internet applications.

  • A strong negotiator and decision maker who can influence business leaders and make rationale choices.

A dynamic leader who can work collaboratively, communicate effectively in both oral and written form, and build relationships across teams and functions in a fast-changing environment
