The opportunity:

As an accounts receivable clerk you will be responsible for

• Reconciliation of accounts daily
• Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
• Communicating with customers via phone and email
• Interact with Sales Department and customers to resolve discrepancies
• Develop and monitor sound credit policies; perform credit checks
• Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts
• Communicate discrepancies to the management team, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates
• Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts
• Administrative duties including POS reports, debit notes, invoicing and sell thru reports.
• Filing and other general office duties.

Looking for an individual who:

• Has 1-3 years experience in A/R
• Has a good understanding of accounting concepts and balancing.
• Has experience working with and understanding the use of spreadsheets.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to type fluently.
• Is detail oriented, highly organized and accurate.
• Has excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Team player with a cooperative approach when dealing with fellow employees.
• Is able to multi-task and prioritize while under pressure in a busy work environment.
• Has strong customer service skills and ability to help customers when needed.
