TEC Canada Looking for Intermediate Accountant at Calgary, AB Full Time

The role of the Intermediate Accountant will report to the Controller. The individual will be expected to be an expert in excel as well as become fluent with the Great Plains General Ledger System (GP), Management Reporter (MR) and the Dynamics Customer Relationship Manager data base (CRM).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare balance sheet and expense reconciliation
• Monthly general ledger analysis and required journal entries
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Super user of GP and MR
• Complex monthly contractor payments and direct communication regarding these payments
• Special projects and other duties as assigned
• Follows company policy and procedures and leads by example
• Create, foster & maintain an environment of cross-department collaboration, knowledge sharing / learning, and support

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum education – 2 years accounting diploma

• 2 years or more accounting/finance experience

• Must have strong interpersonal and proven leadership and communication skills

• Diverse accounting knowledge and comfortable using and learning technology

• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities while performing quality work in an efficient manner with minimal supervision

• Strong technical skills in Microsoft office including Excel, Dynamics, Outlook, Teams with preference given to those with Chrome River experience
