Scope of the work includes:
- Building on previous experience implementing large scale PathNet projects with CPOE
- Managing a cross-functional team
- Maintaining work plans and project schedules
- Managing project level issues and risks
Successful Proponents are expected to have their own computer equipment to conduct the work and Island Health may provide access to some requirement software as needed.
Consultant Qualifications
Skill Sets and Qualifications for Project Manager:
- Experience implementing Healthcare clinical upgrades with EHRs and CPOE rollout in large & fast paced settings.
- Project Schedule modeling with MS Project.
- Experience in implementing CPOE (PowerChart) in ambulatory as well as acute care environments. Focus is on workflows that are for pre and post analytical phases of the end to end laboratory. workflows that occur in clinics/units (outside of the laboratory department).
- Familiarity with the execution of laboratory services in healthcare settings (order entry, requisition management, specimen collection, results management) required to be effective in communications with lab stakeholders and project team members
- Experience driving transformational changes in healthcare environments working closely with physicians, nurses, clerks, ancillary department staff, and other key partners.
- Experience translating future state workflows to Cerner system designs.
- Familiar with change management/incident management processes.
- Experience with additional Oracle Cerner applications including PowerChart, PMOffice, Scheduling desirable. Experience with Lab Information Systems is considered to be a benefit but is NOT mandatory.
- Issue and Risk Management.
