This is an approximate 6 month contract located in Toronto , Hybrid
Responsibilities
• You will work with key stakeholders to develop strong editorial content with impactful messaging that supports client GAM objectives and connects with the needs of our clients.
• You will work on a variety of content writing, and editing for audiences focussed on a variety of products including but not limited to Mutual funds, ETFs and alternatives targeted to include financial advisors, retail, institutional and high net worth investors
• You will also work on investment blogs, sponsored content articles, digital projects, and other content to support various marketing campaigns or objectives.
• Write, adapt, and edit content that aligns with the company’s strategic business goals and capitalizes on long-term and short-term opportunities
• Partner with multiple internal stakeholders (including marketing colleagues, sales leaders, product management and portfolio management) to develop, adapt and edit marketing content to provide impactful ‘calls to action’ for each communication
• Assist with other writing assignments that can include marketing materials, landing pages, digital investment brochures, presentations, and advertising
• Connect the company’s business objectives and the needs, desires, and drivers of the target audiences
• Collaborate with team and key stakeholders to ensure that metrics analysis and front-line feedback are considered for future communications, campaigns, and programs for the various channels
• Establish and adhere to project plans and work-back schedules, especially for regulatory projects
Must Have Requirements:
• 10 years professional writing experience, as part of a marketing, and communications team in the Asset management and financial services/investment industry – not limited to financial industry
• Previous knowledge/experience writing – investment space, asset management
• Familiarity with channel nuances across retail bank branches, direct to consumer, advisor, and institutional audiences.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Previous roles – communications/project management/analysis
Nice-To-Have
• Must be proficient in English and French Bilingual is an asset
• Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and knowledge of the compliance and regulatory requirements within the industry preferred
• Ability to produce effective communications tailored to reach the target audience using traditional and new media channels
• Comfortable working with other software applications (i.e., workflow)
• Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple projects and manage commitments to ensure quality work is completed within tight timelines
• Ability to incorporate feedback and analysis to continually improve process efficiencies and effectiveness of communications
