Job Description:

Position: Director of Group IT & Data Security

Location: TBD / Permanent remote work.

The objective of the Director Group IT & Data Security is two-fold:

To oversee Group-level IT and Data Security programs, including, but not limited to rollout of mandatory systems, matters such as compliance to policies, periodic risk assessment auditing, and to disseminate portfolio level best practices to the group companies. work with the Lumine portfolio leadership team to complete diligence, acquire and integrate newly acquired businesses and taking an active role in the portfolio IT & Data Security steering committee.

Strong business acumen is required in addition to a proven track record as a senior IT and Data Security (ITDS) professional. The role will be based in North America or Europe and reports to David Sharpley, Group Leader.

Responsibilities

GROUP IT & Data Security

• To work with the Portfolio ITDS leadership to develop a strategy that allows the group to scale in an autonomous manner whilst ensuring it complies with Lumine data security governance framework and standards
• Develop a group integration & compliance checklist for new acquisitions, with consideration for Lumine IT’s decentralization strategy
• Complete technology risk assessments on newly acquired companies for the purpose of identifying risks to business, finance, reputation, etc..
• Plan and oversee projects to remediate current group ITDS compliance issues with a view to lowering overall technology risk
• Develop a group ITDS reporting process and dashboard and report monthly;

• Support business unit ITDS leaders with local technology issues and projects, including coordination of external assistance and vendor management
• Track and manage group IT capacity and leverage across businesses to reduced operating expenses and improve efficiency
• Review, contribute & evolve the ITDS Playbook, including best practice guidelines, templates and training materials
• Champion the adoption of policies and best practices group-wide
• Participate in evolving group organization strategy development
• Undertake special projects and analysis as required by portfolio leadership team
• Acquire, manage & deploy IT assets for group & portfolio employees.

ACQUISITION IT & Data Security

IT & Data Security Due-Diligence Program Management:

• Assist in the completion of diligence for all ITDS related matters, including IT & Data Security “situation assessment” of architecture (including corporate IT plus software development and customer support), vendor contracts, policies and controls, and organization;
• Coordinate 3rd-party advisor diligence in complex or unknown jurisdictions;
• Identify and propose solutions to ITDS issues found in diligence and assist M&A team in drafting purchase agreement language to mitigate risks;
• Understanding acquisition needs and identify areas of optimization and cost reduction;
• Continually support the evolution of the ITDS Integration Plan.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 10 years of IT of Data Security experience
• In depth knowledge of Identity & Access Management, including MS-Active Directory & Azure AD
• Experience of evaluation, selection, and implementation of IT systems
• Cloud vendor management experience (Azure/AWS) experience would be preferred
• Strong project management skills coordinating multiple, concurrent, complex and high priority projects, with many internal and external dependencies
• Track record of solving large, complex problems and producing measurable results
• Can build strong working relationships with business and ITDS partners while fostering a cooperative work environment
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make group level decisions while building trust across the Lumine ITDS organization
• Can advise business unit technology leaders on mandatory security tools and deployment technologies
• Familiarity with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tools and usage
• ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and auditing compliance
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain objective while working with sensitive data & materials
• Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to contribute to the overall Portfolio strategy and interact with cross functional teams
• Ability to use the full capabilities of Excel / PowerBI for data analysis
• Must be willing to travel internationally as required.
